I am "Iron Range Rooted" - a proud Chisholm native, I was raised in a working-class, union home where my parents and immigrant grandparents instilled in me the values of hard work, respect, and community service.

I’m proud to be a graduate of Chisholm High School and a first-generation college graduate, earning degrees from Hibbing Community College and the University of Minnesota Duluth.

More than 30 years ago, my husband Paul and I returned to the Iron Range to raise our daughter, Katie, in the community we love. This region shaped who I am, and my connection to the people here is what drives my commitment to ensuring families can build strong futures here for generations to come.

As a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE), for nearly three decades, I have served the public through the Minnesota State Colleges and Universities system. I served for 18 years as an internal auditor and now work as a business manager, building a career grounded in accountability, fiscal responsibility, and government efficiency. I’m prepared to make critical decisions that make government work for people. I put the needs of our neighbors over partisan politics.

For the past decade, I have been humbled to serve as a member of the Hibbing School Board, currently serving as Chair Pro-Tem and Treasurer. This experience as a local elected official has given me firsthand insight into the challenges facing our schools, families, and communities. My commitment to the Northland extends to my service on the Range Association of Municipalities and Schools (RAMS) Board and the Arrowhead Regional Development Commission, where I’ve worked to strengthen our local communities and schools and expand opportunities across the region.

My advocacy for public education is matched by my dedication to the labor movement; as a former member of MAPE for 18 years, I understand that strong unions are the backbone of a vibrant economy.

I believe in leading by example. Whether serving as the Chair of the Hibbing Fire Civil Service Commission or as a founding member of the local Boys & Girls Club, I believe leadership means showing up, listening, and working together.

I’m running for the Minnesota Senate because you deserve a qualified, tested, and fierce voice in St. Paul. Whether I’m advocating for affordable healthcare, protecting union jobs, or ensuring our schools are fully funded, I will always do my homework and speak the truth.

My name will be on the ballot, but this campaign is about all of us. It is our collective voice that will be heard.
